Licensed Practical Nurse

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides licensed nursing care to patients in an ambulatory, clinic, or other care delivery setting under the direction of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. The role involves collecting clinical information, administering medications and treatments, supporting examinations and procedures, providing patient education, and documenting care according to established nursing protocols and scope-of-practice requirements. The LPN/LVN delivers patient care within established protocols under close supervision by more senior clinical staff, escalating anything that falls outside defined parameters.
