Lifeguard

The Lifeguard position creates a safe and positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals while promoting and maintaining a safe swimming environment in the pool, deck and surrounding areas in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures. The role involves actively maintaining current CPR, First Aid, and other required certifications, ensuring the safety of all participants, and adhering to health and safety standards. Lifeguards are responsible for monitoring water quality, conducting regular sanitation, and reporting any incidents or unsafe conditions to supervisors. All employees are mandated reporters for any signs or suspicion of child abuse and neglect.
