About this role

Torches Technologies is seeking a Linux Kernel and Containerization Subject Matter Expert to support the THAAD weapons system through research, development, and engineering services. This role involves monitoring, updating, and supporting Hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) and simulation labs within strict air-gapped and classified environments. The selected candidate will serve as a technical lead for Linux kernel customization, container infrastructure design, and software development to ensure mission readiness.

Responsibilities

Customize and maintain Linux kernels across RHEL 7-10 environments
Design and manage scalable container orchestration clusters
Automate OS builds and containerized application lifecycle management
Troubleshot hardware and software issues in classified systems
Implement container solutions within air-gapped defense environments
