Local Building Inspector

This on-call position assists the Department of Community Development and Planning during vacation and/or sick time leave by performing skilled inspectional work. The role involves enforcing the Massachusetts State Building Code and local zoning bylaws, investigating code violations, and issuing stop work orders as necessary. The inspector must interpret regulations impartially and maintain accurate records of all inspections and enforcement actions.
