Local Permanency Specialist

The Local Permanency Specialist provides secondary casework and courtesy services to abused and neglected children in relative placements, foster homes, and residential facilities within Region 3B. This role involves monitoring child wellbeing, facilitating family visits, and collaborating with DFPS staff, court personnel, and community resources to secure safe and permanent living arrangements. The specialist is responsible for maintaining detailed case documentation, attending court hearings, and ensuring that children's needs are met by authorized caregivers.
