Lumber Buyer

The Lumber Buyer leads all lumber procurement activities for assigned areas, ensuring manufacturing plants receive the proper species, grades, and quantities of hardwood and softwood lumber to maintain inventory goals. This role serves as the key contact for suppliers, initiating purchases to secure the best price and quality while maximizing yield efficiency for production. The position requires maintaining a diversified supplier base, monitoring incoming lumber quality, and communicating critical information to plant management to support production goals.
