About this role

Woodward is seeking a Machinist for its Rock Cut Campus in Loves Park, IL to work the 2nd shift (Monday‑Thursday, 3:20 pm‑1:50 am) supporting the Servo line. The role involves operating CNC and manual machines to produce aerospace precision parts, performing inspections, and adhering to safety and quality standards. Training is provided during the first two weeks, with ongoing shift work and overtime opportunities.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC and manual lathes, mills, Swiss and grinders
Set up machines and perform first‑piece inspections
Follow work instructions and maintain production efficiency
Apply 5S principles and ensure workplace safety
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
