Maintenance Technician 2

This position performs skilled routine work in carpentry and painting trades for the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment, furnishings, and structures within the Parks and Recreation department. The role requires work independence and the competent application of trade skills, distinguishing it from lower-level maintenance classes. Incumbents may be assigned to Park Operations, where they perform specialized maintenance of playing fields, facilities, and equipment. The position involves coordinating work, ensuring safety compliance, and operating various light and heavy equipment.
