About this role

As a Maintenance Technician Apprentice at GlobalFoundries' Malta Fab 8, you will monitor, sustain, and improve semiconductor manufacturing equipment and processes. This role involves performing preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and communicating status updates to lead technicians and engineers while adhering to strict cleanroom and safety protocols. Over the 18-24 month apprenticeship, you will complete four college courses and gain hands-on training leading to promotion to a Level 2 Technician.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on semiconductor equipment
Monitor and test equipment for manufacturing readiness
Troubleshoot equipment failures using mechanical and electrical diagnostics
Complete event documentation and communicate shift handovers
Adhere to strict Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security protocols
