Mammography Technologist

The Mammography Technologist I at Tidelands Health performs digital and 3D screening and diagnostic mammography and may assist with wire and wire-free localizations, stereotactic breast biopsies, and DEXA imaging according to hospital practice. The role works independently under the supervision of the interpreting physician, requires knowledge of breast anatomy and federal mammography regulations, and involves maintaining quality assurance and radiation safety standards. The technologist also interfaces directly with patients to obtain histories, position patients, and ensure comfort and accurate imaging.
