About this role

AIMCo is seeking a Manager, Model Risk Governance to provide independent oversight of model risk across the organization, advancing the firm’s model risk management framework. The role involves collaborating with model owners, developers, validators, and business leaders to ensure models are properly governed throughout their lifecycle during an 8‑month fixed‑term assignment in Calgary or Edmonton.

Responsibilities

Provide independent oversight of model risk management practices
Identify, assess, and communicate model risks and recommendations
Guide stakeholders on model governance, documentation, and controls
Maintain model inventories, risk assessments, and validation tracking
Prepare and present model risk assessments to senior management and auditors
