About this role

Astranis is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to build its additive manufacturing capability from the ground up, focusing on metal Laser Bed Powder Fusion and engineered thermoplastics. This role bridges design and production by developing processes, tooling, and inspection procedures while collaborating with mechanical engineering teams on Design for Additive Manufacturing (DFAM). The engineer will own the entire lifecycle of additive components, from troubleshooting non-conformances on the factory floor to implementing lean systems for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Develop Laser Bed Powder Fusion processes from the ground up
Drive Design for Additive Manufacturing with engineering teams
Create standard operating procedures for printer calibration
Troubleshoot non-conformances and drive corrective actions
Implement lean systems for continuous improvement
