Proxima Fusion
This role supports the industrialization of production processes for magnet production, contributing directly to the execution of key activities within Proxima’s magnet program. The position involves designing, testing, and scaling up production processes such as welding, bonding, sealing, and coating to bridge manufacturing technology from first prototypes to full-scale manufacturing. The successful candidate will operate across technical tasks ranging from design and engineering to hands-on production work while collaborating closely with engineers and technicians.
Proxima Fusion is Europe’s fastest-growing fusion startup, building the first generation of fusion power plants using quasi-isodynamic (QI) stellarators. They combine stellarator optimization, high-temperature superconducting magnets, and advanced computational design, drawing on decades of magnetic confinement fusion research and experience from the W7-X IPP program. Their Stellaris program advances scalable, robust stellarator concepts designed to deliver grid-scale fusion energy with a clear path to commercialization. The company aims to power the future with clean, safe, abundant fusion energy across Europe.
