About this role

This role serves as the primary technical point of contact between design engineers and the manufacturing value stream for New Glenn, ensuring the successful production of flight-proven valve components. The position involves providing hands-on floor support to troubleshoot manufacturing challenges, driving design-for-manufacturability reviews, and implementing design improvements to optimize processes and reliability. The role requires close collaboration with procurement, testing, and operations teams to resolve complex issues with high-pressure, cryogenic, and highly-stressed hardware.

Responsibilities

Act as primary technical point of contact between design engineers and manufacturing value stream
Investigate and identify opportunities to improve legacy designs for manufacturability, cost, and reliability
Utilize 3D CAD and FEA tools to analyze existing designs and proposed modifications

Skills

Qualifications

B.S. degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace engineering, or a related technical field
