About this role
A Marine Mechanic with the North Carolina Department of Transportation Ferry Division performs maintenance and repair work on ferry vessels’ diesel engines and other marine equipment. The role is based at the Hatteras Marine Maintenance facility, receives assignments from a Marine Mechanic Supervisor, and may assist other Ferry Division units with occasional overnight travel. Employment is contingent on successful completion of drug and fit-for-duty tests.
