About this role

The Summer 2026 Public Relations Intern at SFMOMA supports the Communications Department’s Public Relations team in expanding visibility and audiences for the museum. The role centers on updating and refining media contact databases related to upcoming surcharged exhibitions, and helping prepare selected communications for press distribution. The intern will participate in department meetings, gain exposure to PR strategy within an arts nonprofit, and complete a final project and presentation. The internship provides structured learning about the media landscape and how museums engage diverse audiences through public relations.
