Blackwater Goldmine
The Mass Excavator Operator at BW Gold’s Blackwater Mine is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a mass excavator and other heavy mining equipment to load haul trucks, conduct pre‑operational checks, and maintain equipment performance. The role works on a two‑weeks on/ two‑weeks off rotation and reports to the Supervisor – Mining, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental standards, and site procedures.
Blackwater Mine is an open pit gold and silver mining operation located in central British Columbia, approximately 160 km southwest of Prince George, owned by Artemis. The mine commenced its first gold and silver doré pour in January 2025 and announced commercial production in May 2025, with a planned mine life of 22 years and processing capacity expanding up to 55,000 tonnes per day. The project involves conventional open pit mining, ore processing via gravity concentration and whole ore cyanide leaching, and includes associated infrastructure such as a 135 km transmission line.
