Materials Coordinator

A Material Coordinator at PCL Industrial Services, Inc. assists in training and mentoring other material coordinators and tradespeople on department procedures, project plans and systems. Completes assigned entries into the material/tool management systems. Creates requisitions and blanket order releases for temporary materials and services. Completes material received reports (MRR) and overages, shortages and damages (OS&D) transactions for temporary, permanent materials and equipment. Identifies and resolves OS&D issues and provides required notifications to project team as items are received. Coordinates resolution of OS&D’s with project team, procurement and supplier as required. Proactively expedites requisition approvals, outstanding or overdue orders, schedules deliveries and resolves material discrepancies with suppliers/ procurement client to meet project schedule requirements. Dispatches carriers for shipments.
