About this role

The Materials & Process Engineer supports the sustainment of established aerospace products and the development of new technologies within the Sustainment and Design Engineering team. This role ensures that materials and manufacturing processes for critical aerospace components meet demanding performance, quality, and reliability requirements. The position involves addressing complex technical challenges related to material selection, qualification, and obsolescence to maintain product availability.

Responsibilities

Support sustainment and development of aerospace products through materials and process engineering
Investigate obsolete materials and develop technically justified alternatives through testing and qualification
Lead material investigations, failure analysis, and root cause assessments to resolve production challenges

Skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited institution
