About this role

As a Senior Machine Learning/Computer Vision Engineer at Matterport, you will drive the research, design, and production deployment of state-of-the-art systems for 3D reconstruction and semantic understanding. You will tackle complex problems in camera pose estimation, mesh generation, and neural rendering to enhance the quality of digital twins. This role requires collaboration across hardware, software, and product teams to optimize the end-to-end vision pipeline.

Responsibilities

Research and develop camera pose estimation algorithms for accurate localization
Advance mesh generation and surface reconstruction pipelines for high-fidelity assets
Design intelligent systems leveraging semantic scene understanding for capture guidance
Apply deep learning techniques for segmentation, depth estimation, and appearance modeling
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address failure modes and optimize the vision pipeline
