Mechanic Assistant

The Mechanic Assistant supports shop personnel in maintaining the safe and economical operation of all district vehicles, contributing to the educational process by ensuring the transportation fleet is well-maintained. This role involves performing routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, lubrications, and bulb replacements, while keeping the work area clean and orderly. The position requires assisting with pre-trip preparations, seat repairs, and disinfecting buses, as well as acting as a runner for parts and buses needing repair. The role also includes obtaining necessary certifications and prioritizing work orders to meet deadlines.
