Mechanic

This position performs highly skilled mechanical repair work on City-owned diesel- and gasoline-powered trucks and specialized medium-to-heavy equipment, ensuring they run properly and safely. The role involves conducting preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical issues, and supervising workloads to ensure timely and quality completion. Incumbents also provide emergency field assistance, maintain inventory, and train lower-level mechanics as needed.
