About this role

The Mechanical Design Engineer will provide design engineering support for the Asheville, NC casting and machining product line, working within a cross‑discipline Integrated Product Team to improve producibility, resolve non‑conformances, and support field events. The role involves collaboration with component and part IPTs, operations, and quality, and will also support the deployment of Model Based Definition, Manufacture and Inspection at the site.

Responsibilities

Provide design engineering support for casting and machining product line
Execute mechanical design engineering standard work and documentation
Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams to resolve non‑conformances and field events
Support deployment of Model Based Definition, Manufacture and Inspection (MB‑DMI)
Identify and implement producibility improvements and product change initiatives
