About this role

Cerebras Systems is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to serve as the technical owner's representative for leased AI data center deployments. This role focuses on technical governance, design reviews, and operational readiness rather than detailed engineering design, ensuring facilities meet performance and scalability requirements. The engineer will partner with colocation providers, developers, and contractors to oversee mechanical infrastructure, cooling systems, and commissioning for high-density AI workloads.

Responsibilities

Serve as subject matter expert for mechanical infrastructure across assigned projects
Review and approve basis of design, drawings, and equipment submittals
Validate cooling architectures supporting high-density AI deployments
Perform regular site inspections and monitor installation quality
Support FAT, SAT, and mechanical startup for owner acceptance
