About this role

MatX is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Lead to drive the mechanical design, thermal architecture, and system integration of its rack-scale AI platform from concept through production. This hands-on leadership role involves owning the design of AI compute trays, rack systems, and liquid-cooled infrastructure while mentoring the mechanical and thermal teams. The position requires close collaboration with hardware, electrical, and JDM/ODM partners to deliver a world-class AI data center platform.

Responsibilities

Own mechanical design of AI compute trays and rack-scale systems from concept through production
Lead liquid cooling design and qualification including cold plates and CDU interfaces
Direct mechanical engineers and manage JDM/ODM partners for DVT and PVT phases
