Media Center Paraprofessional

The Media Center Paraprofessional supports the daily operation of the elementary media center by assisting students and staff, maintaining the library collection and catalog, supporting classroom visits and reading initiatives, and providing a welcoming, organized, and functional learning environment. The role involves managing small-group reading intervention sessions, maintaining accurate records within the Alexandria Library Cataloging System, and troubleshooting common media center technology. This position requires a passion for youth literacy, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with teachers and community volunteers.
