About this role

The Media Relations Coordinator supports the University of Tampa’s external visibility and reputation by serving as the day-to-day point of contact for media relations. The role involves proactively identifying media opportunities, connecting reporters with University experts, and positioning faculty and programs as authoritative sources on public interest issues. This position works closely with the Director of Institutional Marketing and Content Strategy to advance institutional priorities and the University’s broader reputation.

Responsibilities

Serve as primary contact for journalists and coordinate media inquiries
Develop and pitch stories showcasing faculty expertise and institutional priorities
Draft and edit media materials including press releases and talking points

Skills
