About this role

This is a 12-month, fully-paid apprenticeship program designed to train individuals to become certified Medical Assistants within Monument Health's ambulatory clinic setting. Participants will receive 1:1 mentorship and education in administrative, clinical, and psychological skills while working collaboratively with the healthcare team. The role aims to provide a clear career path into a permanent Medical Assistant position upon successful completion.

Responsibilities

Prepare examination and treatment areas per clinic standards
Complete patient rooming procedures including vital signs and data collection
Administer and document unit dose medications and immunizations
Perform EKGs and laboratory testing following successful training
Document patient records accurately and assist with scheduling follow-up care

High School Diploma or GEDBasic Life Support (BLS) Certification
