Medical Assistant Float

A Medical Assistant working in an outpatient clinic providing direct patient care and clinical support while supporting clinical operations and maintaining electronic health record documentation. The position interacts with patients, providers, pharmacies and insurers and supports efficient patient flow. It requires at least one year of hands-on clinical experience and successful completion of a clinical competency assessment and MA orientation; trainees may enter an MA Trainee Program if standards are not met.
