Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant functions within the administration's pre-defined scope of practice guidelines to collect subjective and objective health status data from patients and communicate this information to healthcare providers. This role involves participating in patient care by providing contributing data to licensed professionals and following through on the patient's plan of care under the direction of the provider. The position requires performing a variety of duties under direct supervision, including obtaining vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and performing point of care testing.
