Medical Coder

This role involves reviewing patient records to identify pertinent facts for selecting comprehensive diagnoses and procedures, and coding evaluations and management to appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes. The position requires collaborating with physicians to resolve coding issues, secure signatures, and assist staff with medical terminology and policy interpretation. Additional responsibilities include preparing case reports, initiating follow-ups for billing, and participating in special projects to investigate low payments and payer issues.
