The Medical Coding Specialist- Inpatient reviews documentation in the electronic medical record and assigns and sequences ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes and ICD-10-PCS procedure codes. This role requires experience in Critical Access Coding, including Inpatient, Observation, Surgery, Emergency, Laboratory, Radiology, Infusions, and other Outpatient procedures. The position adheres to the Standards of Ethical Coding set forth by AHIMA and complies with ICD-10 Official Coding Guidelines and regulatory requirements.
