A Medical Scribe serves as a personal assistant to the provider, facilitating efficient patient care by documenting information in the EHR and gathering patient visit details. The role involves accompanying physicians into patient rooms, recording history of present illness, review-of-systems, and physical examinations. Additionally, the scribe tracks vital signs, lab values, and imaging results while entering orders and progress notes as directed.
