Performs a variety of routine and specialized medical laboratory diagnostic tests, procedures, experiments and analyses on blood and body fluid specimens to provide laboratory data for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease. Job criteria vary by clinical area and the role reports directly to technical section supervisors.
