About this role

The Medication Assistance Coordinator serves as a hub for prior authorizations, patient assistance programs, co-pay assistance, and other medication support initiatives within the medical center and clinics. This role involves direct contact with patients, families, providers, and pharmacies to process prescriptions and ensure timely medication delivery through various assistance programs. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills to manage workflows while complying with health system policies.

Responsibilities

Process prior authorizations and patient assistance programs
Coordinate medication shipping and delivery activities
Follow up on refill and reauthorization requests
Cross train as a Pharmacy Technician when needed
Comply with health system policies and standards
