The California Science Center, located in Exposition Park in Los Angeles, is a state museum dedicated to inspiring curiosity and learning about science through hands-on, interactive exhibits and public programs. Its galleries cover life sciences, ecosystems, technology and engineering, and it operates an IMAX theater and rotating special exhibitions. The Center’s Aerospace Gallery famously houses the Space Shuttle Endeavour and other spaceflight artifacts, and it runs extensive K–12 outreach, teacher resources, and community STEM initiatives. General admission to permanent exhibits is typically free while special exhibits and IMAX screenings are ticketed; the Center is supported by a mix of public funding and private philanthropy.
