About this role

Caterpillar is seeking a Mill, Drill and Bore Machine Specialist to operate and adjust numerically controlled drilling and boring machines with or without milling capabilities. The role involves executing machining operations on complex parts like transmission cases and engine blocks, with a focus on maintaining quality and adhering to safety standards. This position is full-time, 3rd shift (Sunday–Thursday night), located in East Peoria, IL.

Responsibilities

Execute machining operations to close tolerances on complex parts
Operate numerically controlled drilling and boring machines
Adjust offsets and override encoded instructions as necessary
Follow Standard Work Sheets to ensure quality outcomes
Maintain equipment using 5S and Total Productive Maintenance
