Blackwater Goldmine
The Mill Projects Engineer at Artemis Gold is responsible for developing and delivering mill improvement and sustaining capital projects from concept through engineering, construction, commissioning, and handover. The role manages small- to medium-sized projects, serves as the technical liaison for larger capital initiatives, and ensures projects meet safety, performance, and integration requirements within the operating plant.
Blackwater Mine is an open pit gold and silver mining operation located in central British Columbia, approximately 160 km southwest of Prince George, owned by Artemis. The mine commenced its first gold and silver doré pour in January 2025 and announced commercial production in May 2025, with a planned mine life of 22 years and processing capacity expanding up to 55,000 tonnes per day. The project involves conventional open pit mining, ore processing via gravity concentration and whole ore cyanide leaching, and includes associated infrastructure such as a 135 km transmission line.
