Mitigation of radical chain reactions in dense-phase CO2 streams by neutralizing NO2 via methanol and ammonia
TWI(2 months ago)
About this role
A funded PhD studentship in Chemical Engineering at Queen Mary University of London investigating radical chain reactions and corrosion-causing products in dense-phase CO2 streams. The project focuses on modelling reaction kinetics, thermodynamics and solvent effects for mixtures of NOx, SOx, H2S and CH3OH dissolved in CO2, with industrial collaboration from Shell and TWI. The work aims to produce a simulation tool for radical chain reactions and may include analysis of partner experimental data and optional lab work.
