About this role

Leidos is seeking a Model-Based Systems Engineer to join the IFPC Inc 2 team, which develops ground-based mobile systems to combat cruise missiles and unmanned aircraft. This role involves using SysML and Cameo Systems Modeler to create requirements specifications, system architecture, and behavioral content for critical defense infrastructure. The engineer will interface with program management and design teams to support systems engineering needs throughout the design lifecycle while potentially serving as a customer liaison.

Responsibilities

Develop systems engineering artifacts in a Model-Based Systems Engineering environment
Define system architecture and dictate system interfaces for defense programs
Perform requirements verification and help develop test schemes
Present systems engineering artifacts to customers during formal design reviews
Work independently on MBSE models while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or related ABET-accredited field8+ years of experience with a Bachelor's or Master's with 6+ yearsSecret security clearance or ability to obtainOCSMP CertificationINCOSE SEP Certification (ASEP or CSEP)
