About this role

A Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineer will develop high-fidelity ballistic and hypersonic kinematic threat models to support the Missile Defense Agency's Ballistic Missile Defense Systems. This on-site role involves applying engineering algorithms to simulate missile behaviors, authoring technical documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet critical delivery schedules. Candidates must have a background in STEM, proficiency in programming languages like MATLAB or Python, and an active DoD Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

Develop ballistic and hypersonic kinematic threat models for simulation tools
Apply engineering algorithms to simulate missile behavioral characteristics
Research and interpret parameters for missile trajectory propagation
Author highly technical Verification and Validation documentation
Collaborate with MDA ground test stakeholders to meet product requirements
