Molecular/Cell and Functional Genomics Neuroscientist

The Goate lab at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking a highly skilled molecular/cell and functional genomics neuroscientist to drive research on the human genetics of the 17q21.31 “MAPT/tau” locus and its role in Tauopathy. The position focuses on translating genetics and human biology observations into in vitro models to understand disease pathogenesis and develop preventative and therapeutic interventions. The candidate will join a multidisciplinary research team collaborating with geneticists, genomicists, and other experts at leading academic and biopharmaceutical institutions.
