About this role

The Monitoring and Evaluation Consultant at the Green Climate Fund ensures the quality and credibility of M&E aspects in grant and funding proposals for climate projects globally. This role involves appraising alignment with results frameworks, building partner competencies in M&E methodologies, and analyzing performance data to inform portfolio management. The consultant works closely with internal teams and external partners to strengthen monitoring systems and support adaptive management for climate finance initiatives.

Responsibilities

Ensure quality of M&E aspects in funding proposals for climate projects
Appraise alignment with Fund's Integrated Results Management Framework
Build partner competencies in M&E methodologies and best practices
Analyze performance data for portfolio management and reporting
Contribute to review of annual performance and evaluation reports

Skills

Qualifications

Master's degree in sustainable development or climate policy3 years of experience in M&E systems implementationExperience with NDCs and NAPs implementation
