Mycobacteriology Position

This is an independent professional Mycobacteriology position assigned to the Bureau of Public Health Laboratories TB program in Jacksonville. The incumbent will participate in daily specimen processing activities, including preparation of media, accessioning, and microscopy analysis. The role involves training and performing molecular identification and susceptibility testing of Mycobacteria for the rapid diagnosis of tuberculosis. The position also includes supporting the laboratory with back-up testing, proficiency testing, and maintaining laboratory information systems.
