Alpha Generation
The Natural Gas Analyst supports AlphaGen's commercial strategy by analyzing natural gas markets, fuel supply agreements, and generation asset margins. This role develops forecasts, conducts quantitative analysis, and provides actionable market intelligence to support fuel procurement, portfolio optimization, and risk management. The position monitors market fundamentals, evaluates fuel-related opportunities and risks, and develops recommendations to enhance profitability across the generation portfolio.
Alpha Generation owns and operates power generation facilities that are well positioned to provide reliable, secure, safe, and sustainable sources of power and meet the growing infrastructure needs created by electrification. This diverse portfolio of assets is owned by funds managed by ArcLight Capital Partners, LLC, a leading middle-market, value added infrastructure investment firm with strategic partnerships and investments across the power, renewables, strategic gas, battery storage, and transformative infrastructure sectors. Alpha Generation operates 26 generation facilities across the United States, spanning states including California, Connecticut, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and Ohio.
