About this role

JCS Solutions is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support a digital modernization program for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency in Fort Belvoir, VA. The role involves architecting and operating secure, dual-layer cryptographic boundaries and ensuring strict compliance with NSA Capability Packages. This position requires collaboration with government technical leadership to drive innovation and efficiencies within the integrated information technology support services portfolio.

Responsibilities

Architect and deploy secure CSfC infrastructure across Black/Gray/Red networks
Configure and maintain multi-layered CSfC architectures aligned with NSA Capability Packages
Author and optimize Palo Alto NGFW security policies and IDS/IPS threat signatures

Skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree programActive TS/SCI ClearanceActive DoD 8570.01-M / DoD 8140 IAT Level II or III baseline certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, CASP+, or CISSP)Active Computing Environment certification, including one or more of: Cisco CCNA, CCNP, Aruba ACSA or ACSPCisco CCNP/CCIE (Security or Enterprise), Palo Alto PCNSE, Aruba Certified ClearPass Expert (ACCX), or Aruba Certified Mobility Expert (ACMX)
