About this role

Rocket Lab is seeking a motivated intern to join the Neutron Thermal Protection Systems team in Auckland. The role will support the development and testing of thermal protection technologies for the Neutron reusable launch vehicle, providing hands‑on experience with real space projects and a pathway to future engineering opportunities.

Responsibilities

Conduct thermal testing and evaluate alternative materials for TPS
Lead sourcing, integration, and testing of candidate thermal protection materials
Design and upgrade thermal exposure test cells and associated hardware
