The New ER Doctor (NERD) Program at Veterinary Emergency Group is a consecutive six-month, intensive mentorship and training program designed for veterinarians with 1+ years of practice who want to transition into emergency medicine. Participants receive hands-on clinical mentoring, continuing education, and regular mentor meetings, and successful completion transitions into a full-time Emergency Doctor position at VEG. Relocation for the program may be required, and graduates are guaranteed placement at a VEG hospital upon meeting all competencies and benchmarks.
