About this role
The Patient Transporter is responsible for transporting ambulatory and non-ambulatory patients using wheeled chairs and stretchers while ensuring safe, timely, and compassionate transfers. The role maintains and prepares transport vehicles, keeps accurate transport documentation for departmental records and billing, and communicates with nursing staff and the Medical Transport Dispatcher. This position operates under direct supervision and supports patient movement within the health system.
