The Nurse Extern is an unlicensed, entry-level role supporting licensed nursing staff by assisting with basic to intermediate patient care under direct supervision. The position works alongside a nursing preceptor to help manage patient loads and contribute to patient comfort and safety. It is designed for individuals who have completed nursing fundamentals and are actively enrolled in a BSN program.
